A gift from Patients’ Aid Foundation

My son Mohammad Ayan had a Cataract (Motia) problem since his birth. We are from Hyderabad and the hospitals in our city lack standard healthcare facilities. Treatment in private hospitals is quite expensive in our city and therefore the doctors recommended that we take our child to Jinnah Hospital in Karachi.

We traveled to the city of lights and Ayan was admitted to Jinnah Hospital the treatment began. At first we were disheartened that my child will lose his eye, but when he went through a successful Lens operation the hope was restored. We were very pleased by the treatment and services provided by the Ophthalmology department which works in coordination with Patients Aid Foundation. Later, I found out that PAF was funding the lens and equipment for this department apart from revamping it. Till date we have made 15 visits to Jinnah Hospital and recommend that people with eye problems should visit this department at Jinnah Hospital Karachi. I recommended this place to other people in my city who were encountering a similar illness to visit Jinnah hospital for eye treatment. We are thankful to the people who lent a hand to our son, and contributed in his excellent healthcare by giving donations and Zakat to support such causes. His eyesight has fully restored because of this foundation which has helped change many lives.

Today, thousands of patients are benefiting from this partnership. With the help of PAF, the Eye Ward was revamped at Jinnah Hospital and PAF has also extended its hand in appointing resident consultants for important medical procedures.
